My past experience with JRSC @ 6 psi... I had it on a 95 GSR. Everything was a fine and dandy when all the sudden the head gasket blew. I'm still not sure what happened. The Fuel pressure was reading past 100 psi at idle, so maybe that has something to do with it. Anyway, I'm getting a 01' GSR soon and I'm putting the SC back on it after the break-in period. I'm thinking about going straight to 8 psi. As of now I know I'll need a better fuel pump, larger injectors, the 8 psi pulley, and the J&S safeguard. I have the JR BTC now. The cars going to be brand new, so I feel hesistant putting it on a new engine. I'd hate for anything to happen to my new car.

I want the car to be absolutely maintenance free, other than minor stuff like tightening the belt every now and then. Can I expect this at 8 psi if everything is installed on right? I'm having a great mechanic do the installation. Can someone please tell me the prices on these items and where I can get them... J&S safeguard, fuel pump, larger injectors, fuel pressure guage, Cartech FMU, and the 8 psi pulley.

Before the head gasket blew, the only problem I had with the JRSC was a rough idle when the engine was cold. Is that normal? Will it be worse at 8 psi?

    Thank you

hey dude, you're in luck, I have a brand new Walbro GSS 342, the high output fuel pump sitting in my closet that I never installed in anticipation for 8psi that I never had the balls to go forth with, hehe. These things brand new go for about 105-110, I'd be willing to sell for about 90 + 5 dollars shipping via usps. Your other items should go like this:

    J&S Safeguard - Used: 350, New V2: 580
    RC Injectors - ~300, Venom ~320
Full Sweep FP guage - 160
    Cartech - 160-180
    8psi Pulley - 100

    Hope this helps.

    Jon

You should do just fine at 8PSI. You're making some good investments and that counts for a lot. I would recommend trying to get it on a dyno and tuning it once the install is complete.

I'm running 10psi with larger injectors 290cc and a jr fuel pump, with cartech 2005, I'm running fine with mine. Holden been autocrossing with 10psi and that takes the stock engine to hell and back. he still have the engine going at 10psi still.
